GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY:

As a member of the Sourcing team, the Sourcing Program Manager will be responsible for program management across all New Product Development programs as well as other strategic sourcing programs. This position will ensure project management team objectives are coordinated and executed according to defined projects plans, deliverables, and leadership objectives.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and manage all of the sourcing activities within New Product Development and Ecotech (VAVE).
  • Sets project milestones, provides stakeholder feedback, provides regular status updates, and tracks team and project metrics.
  • As the Sourcing representative, manage and present the sourcing gate deliverables within the New Product Development process.
  • Collaborate with engineering on new product development activities to support projects, align design with our strategic supply base, and deliver products on time and at or below cost targets.
  • Understands all elements of product cost; validates integrity of the cost of BOM and forecast costing; able to clearly articulate the main cost drivers, cost reduction, and cost avoidance activities.
  • Communicates commodity strategies to the NPD teams.
  • Conduct early engagement forums to align engineering and commodity strategies.
  • Liaise with commodity managers and other functions to ensure projects are being funneled, prioritized, tracked, and communicated.
  • Work within a fast-paced, challenging and rewarding environment to drive exciting new product development, innovation, and continuous improvements projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

EXPERIENCE:

  • 10+ years of program management experience.
  • 5+ years of functional experience in sourcing and procurement.
  • Experience and knowledge of global sourcing, supplier management, and commodity risk management.
  • An understanding of various manufacturing processes.
  • Proven experience in strategic planning, budgeting, and data analysis.
  • Global mindset with experience working in an international/multi-cultural matrix environment.
  • Skilled problem solving.
  • Collaborative with a high degree of situational awareness.

 

EXPERTISE:

  • Results driven with a passion for executing strategic initiatives and programs to meet or exceed goals.
  • Organized and capable of driving several parallel activities to support the overall goals of many concurrent projects.
  • Recognized for having a high sense of urgency and responsiveness that supports fast-to-market product launches.
  • Independent self-starter.
  • Takes prompt, proactive action to accomplish work goals with limited oversight.
  • Strategic thinker, with analytical and problem-solving skills to think strategically and execute tactically.

 

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or technical field
  • PMP Certification a plus

 

INTERNAL & EXTERNAL CONNECTIONS:

  • Must be able to work with all levels of the organization including globally.

 

LOCALIZATION AND TRAVEL EXPECTED:

  • Position located in West Bend, WI. The opportunity can also be located in Madison and Yankton, SD.
  • 10-15% travel both domestically and internationally may be required.
