General Accountability:

The S&OP, Supply Chain Planning and Logistics Director is responsible for the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process and Master Scheduling Planning for the Compact & Articulated Loader Product Unit as well as for the Logistics & Transport.  

This includes sales forecast coordination across all global regions, monitoring factory and field finished good inventory levels, working closely with factory managers to plan production and shipment schedules that meet company sales and financial objectives.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
S&OP:

  • Interact and communicate with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and others as appropriate to incorporate relevant business intelligence and forecast information.
  • Coordinate all logistical arrangements of the S&OP process (maintains the meeting schedule, assigns action items, guides the team to reach decisions).
  • Perform monthly forecast reviews with each of the global regional sales leaders. 
  • Analyze key data to provide guidance and recommendations to management to help achieve production and sales goals.  Reviews historical sales trends, researches demand drivers, and develops forecast models to support the SIOP process.
  • Work closely with the Sourcing Director to communicate demand levels and coordinate inventory strategies.

Master Scheduling:

  • Supervise the facilities master scheduler and provide guidance to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the scheduling process.
  • Develop and implement the “Available to Promise” order management system in coordination with the factories planning staff and Customer Service.
  • Run regular reports to provide key business metrics and information to appropriate users.
  • Interact & communicate with the Compact Equipment Product Distribution Center in Europe (MILE)

Logistics & Transport

  • Supervise the team in charge of all activities relating to product shipments on a domestic and international  basis.
  • Support Logistics Group strategy (Rate negotiation, Transport Management System Deployment, …) 
  • Supervise Trade Compliance

Management

  • Develop and propose the budget for its activity
  • Define, staff, and develop his Department
  • Suggest organizational changes to Management
  • Facilitate meetings of his organization. Conduct performance reviews and suggest changes for employees

Professional Skills

  • Advanced management skills.
  • Strong project management knowledge.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Knowledge in administrative and financial management. 
  • Good interpersonal, communication, and facilitation skills to lead and influence a team of others that are not direct reports.

Organization / Leadership 

  • Ability to work and thrive in a cross-functional and matrix environment (Multi PU’s, VP Sales & Operations Planning - Product Division, Sales & Marketing, Legal, HR, etc.).
  • Agility to respond to emerging/changing business needs in a fast paced environment
