General Accountability:

Reporting to the Advanced Manufacturing Director, the Manufacturing Engineer develops and improves manufacturing processes for current product and new product development

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES:

  • Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
  • Manage manufacturing engineering projects (production equipment, industrial software, Facility modification)
  • Participate in Design Reviews with Engineering, Manufacturing and Quality Engineering.
  • Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes.
  • Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements
  • Maintains product and process database in ERP and other software used to support production
  • Facilitate continuous improvement for all processes
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing/mechanical processes and equipment.
  • Experience designing, operating, troubleshooting or maintaining complex production machinery is desirable.
  • Strong computer skills with ability to learn new systems and tools quickly.
  • Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma theory and practices is desirable.

 

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor Degree in Manufacturing Engineering
  • Additional specialized education, training and/or work experience in manufacturing methods and procedures, Product development, CAD.
  • Additional specialized education, training and/or work experience in assembly processes such as mechanical and hydraulic assembly.

 

EXPERIENCE :

  • Minimum of 3-5 years related experience in manufacturing or assembly processes
  • MS office experience
  • CAD experience preferably NX/ Teamcenter

 

KNOWLEDGE:

  • Working knowledge of manufacturing/mechanical processes and equipment.
  • Experience designing, operating, troubleshooting or maintaining complex production machinery is desirable.
  • Strong computer skills with ability to learn new systems and tools quickly.
  • Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma theory and practices is desirable.
