Electrical Engineer Design - Systems & Advanced Concepts

Using your creativity and engineering expertise, you will ideate and develop construction equipment solutions in a hands on fast paced environment. 


Under the direction of the Director of Systems Engineering and Advanced Concept, you will work with a cross functional team to develop new product designs for construction equipment and work on advanced concepts related to connectivity, automation, and electrification. 


Experience with CANbus and off highway equipment a plus.





Research and Development

  • Ideate and develop solutions to customers unmet needs.
  • Test and evaluate new technologies to drive innovation into our products.
  • Develop systems related to connectivity, automation, and electrification.
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced hands on environment where you will be encouraged to experiment, fail fast, and learn quickly. 

Engineering and Design

  • Identify and coordinate electrical system and component requirements.
  • Design and develop electrical systems on new or existing construction equipment.
  • Design and develop new electrical components and systems
  • Identify and select new or alternative electrical components.
  • Prepare electrical routing in CAD
  • Prepare electrical schematics and wire harness drawings.

Leadership and Teamwork

  • Advise product teams on placement and integration of systems and components.
  • Work with suppliers to track progress for system and component development.
  • Work collaboratively within Systems Engineering team to support all active projects.

Testing and Troubleshooting

  • Ensure systems and components meet design requirements
  • Ensure systems and components meet applicable regulatory standards. 
  • Help develop electrical troubleshooting guides and methods.
  • Develop electrical specifications and test requirements for machines and components.
  • Support engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, and suppliers in the troubleshooting and resolution of system and component failures.
  • Support testing of experimental machines, report on performance, corrective actions, and lessons learned.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Physical activities include running of computers, potential assisting in the assembly, installation and operation of prototype and data acquisition equipment. Capability to be in a jobsite or production factory environment, heat, cold, wet, dry, etc. for periods of time is required.





  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is required. Electrical, Aerospace, Agricultural, or Similar Field.
  • 3 or more years of experience with electrical and embedded systems
  • Basic knowledge of domestic and international standards and regulations
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • VeSys Experience (ECAD)
  • 3D Modeling in NX (CAD)
  • 3D Harnessing in NX (CAD)
  • CANbus experience a plus
  • Off Highway experience a plus
  • Working knowledge of MS Office programs



This position is located in West Bend

10% Travel both domestically and international may be required.
