Engineering Intern

Interns will work with the Manufacturing Engineers on quality and process improvement projects. Job responsibilities that will include 5-S/Lean events, time studies, develop work instructions, line balancing, material flow improvements and documentation of processes.



Detailed job instructions are as follows:

  • Line balance assembly and welding production lines
  • Time study processes and identify bottle necks
  • Develop and implement process changes to achieve balance flow
  • Utilize Lean principles to improve productivity and efficiency
  • Participate in 5s events to improve production areas
  • Internal logistics, material tracking, part planning and part location bar coding.
  • Work with multi-functional team to Develop PFP (Plan for every Part)
  • Determine assembly line storage quantity, part presentation on assembly line and container size.
  • Develop part kits and carts for assembly lines
  • Develop painted parts Kanban kits and process for assembly lines
  • Develop work instructions for assembly and welding
  • Document assembly sequence in each work station including; part number; quantity; tooling and critical quality processes.
  • Create work instructions in Cortona
  • Update facility layouts in AutoCAD.
