GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY:

The Latin America Marketing Manager plays a primary role in strategically developing, planning, and executing unified brand leadership and marketing communications that deliver consistent business results across all Manitou Latin American brands and products. This brand leader will be responsible for creating scalable and strategic brand initiatives targeting dealers, customers and end users through voice-of-customer (VOC) input that are consistent with our brand values and messaging.

 

The Latin American Marketing Manager collaboratively works with Global Operational Marketing, Product Management, Sales and Services to deliver one common message and one Marketing voice that will motivate our Dealers and Customers to act in order to achieve our set marketing and business objectives.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Strategic Development: Lead the development of key brand foundational tools including brand positioning, brand narrative and overall strategy. Drive evolution of brand strategy and develop key messaging that is clear, concise and adapted by our dealers/customers and end users.
  • Brand Management: Lead the development of the go to market strategy and execute integrated brand specific marketing campaigns and tools that drive growth through our dealer/customer network by utilizing multiple media including digital, social, CRM, search, PR, and events that drive increased market share and measurable brand awareness across all of our respective brands.
  • New Product Communication Plan Development: Partner with product management in the development of go-to market strategies to drive new product launches in the marketplace. 
  • Marketing Communication & PR: Lead all Marcom activities. Lead relationships with outside agency partners (Advertising, Media, Digital, PR) and serve as primary point of contact ensuring marketing objectives outlined by Marketing Managers and Product Managers are delivered on time and on budget.
  • Digital Brand Expertise: Lead strategy and execution of digital, social, mobile, and influencer marketing to deliver brand engagement within Manitou Latin America. Create and execute SEO strategy to ensure the highest brand rankings across search and social.
  • Participates in market and customer VOC activity to identify needs and gain further insights on brands and products.
  • Participation in trade shows, company sponsored promotions and events.
  • Continuous competitive benchmarking.
  • In charge of building the marketing plan with the different members of the team in line with the company guidelines. He will be in charge of deploying this plan across the region and will be accountable for this deployment.
  • Latam Marketing Manager will be the relay to the global product managers in order to highlight the new products needed by the market including the market price positioning and business opportunity in the region.
  • He or She will be in charge of maintaining the product and service databases in order to ensure that all the digital tools are up to date in the region.

 

EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience in brand development/creation, social media content creation, project management & execution, strategic planning, dealer/customer engagement and brand building.
  • At least 5 years of experience in related functions such as: product management/development, sales, operational marketing.
  • Global brand management preferred.
  • Dealer brand development is preferred.

 

EXPERTISE:

  • Knowledge of brand management, VOC, social media marketing, Marcom, in-depth market research/analysis and brand development processes.
  • Leadership, sales support, project management and communication skills.
  • Should be able to develop effective relationships and operate with senior level management.
  • Should be an expert in forward thinking, brand research, and should possess problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to listen to intended details attentively.
  • Creative, writing, and presentation skills including demonstration skills to handle many assignments simultaneously.
  • Proven knowledge in market and brand research/development.
  • Must be able to balance strategic planning with tactical execution.
  • Strong project management skills and results orientation.
  • Strong understanding of web technologies and concepts; SEO, optimization tools and trends including Google Analytics and Adwords.

 

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor Marketing and/or Administration Degree

 

LANGUAGES:

  • Fluent in Portuguese, Spanish and English, which are mandatory languages. French is a plus.

 

LOCALIZATION AND TRAVEL EXPECTED:

  • This position is located in Vinhedo, São Paulo, Brazil.
  • Travel up to 30%, both domestic and international throughout Latin America.
