GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY:

Report to Production Supervisor.  Activities within this classification include the inspection of finished machines prior to shipping, which will include some rework to help meet production needs.  Day to day personnel activities are assigned by the Production Supervisor.  Quality issues/activities shall be directed through the area supervisor.

 

Available Shift: 1st Shift Monday-Friday 5a-1:30p

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintains a safe work environment; details are dependent upon duties assigned not limited to the following:

  • Evaluate each machine against published acceptance criteria (PDI Inspection Procedure, paint and weld acceptance criteria, etc.), current quality alerts, or approved deviations and current assembly/subassembly drawings.
  • Record the condition of machines inspected on the appropriate check list.  Return completed checklists to QA on the agreed upon interval.
  • Provide the appropriate feedback to supervision and/or management concerning product quality.
  • Where appropriate and as directed, perform minor rework that is re-inspected and accepted, which may include, but not limited to hydraulic, electrical or mechanical work.
  • Whenever required may be called upon to sound test units to customer requirements and or country/region directives.

 

EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience and knowledge of all model machines built at Madison facility
  • Strong analytical and reasoning skills required
  • Must exhibit physical abilities to lift up to50 lbs, safely
  • Self starter, team player and have the ability to multitask

 

EXPERTISE:

  • Must be able to read and interpret drawings, standard work instructions, checklists, internal and external deviations, etc
  • Excellent oral and written communication with all levels of personnel within the plant
  • Computer skills including knowledge of Google is preferred

 

EDUCATION:

  • Minimum high school diploma or GED preferred

 

INTERNAL & EXTERNAL CONNECTIONS:

  • This position will interact with all departments of Production

 

PAY RANGE:

  • Base Pay Range between $24-$30 per hour plus a potential quarterly bonus based on performance metrics

                       *Actual pay determined by experience level, skills, qualifications & work location
