GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY:
The Credit Note Recovery Technician performs receiving inspections of defective products as required. Notifies vendors of non-conformances and arranges to return non-conforming products to the vendor. Recovers costs of defective parts on behalf of production and warranty claims systems. This position reports to our Quality Director.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Perform routine inspections of product, including prototype and experimental, subassemblies and assemblies, for reject causes to gather information needed for cost recovery
● Perform process audits of various processes including fabrication, welding, machining, paint and assembly using an approved process audit checklist
● Must be able to work with suppliers when non-conforming product is deemed a supplier issue
● Participate in New Product Design reviews for relevant data about supplier issues and level of supplier support on quality issues
● Maintain education and skill level required to perform assigned functions
● Complete special assignments that are assigned by the supervisor
EXPERIENCE:
● Must be able to visually inspect product and equipment
EXPERTISE:
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills
● Google Suites and/or Microsoft Office experience preferred
● Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints including geometric tolerances and weld symbols
EDUCATION:
● High school diploma required
INTERNAL & EXTERNAL CONNECTIONS:
● Internal Customers: Sourcing, Purchasing, Quality and Production Teams
● External Customers: Suppliers; related to the product family assigned to you
LOCALIZATION AND TRAVEL EXPECTED:
● This position is located in Madison, SD
● No travel required
