Trades Assistant

Job Title: Trades Assistant/Transport yard hand

Summary Details:
Manitou Center Sydney is a dealership directly linked to the global Manitou Group. We have an exciting opportunity for a yard hand/trades assistant to join our growing team as our work demands increase. Reporting to the Service supervisor, your role will be to assist our trades with machine washing, general PDI work, site housekeeping and machine movements around the site.

Key responsibilities: ● Moving equipment and vehicles around the yard as required ● Cyclic condition/operation checks on all ‘stock machines’ ● Unloading/loading machines for transport in accordance with CoR ● Unloading machines, parts and attachments from containers ● Assisting with the pre delivery preparation of new machines (washing, detailing and assisting technicians where required) ● Ensuring all workshop tooling is managed and in working condition ● Pick up and drop off parts as required ● Assisting the team keeping a clean working environment ● Completing all paperwork in a presentable and timely manner
The Person: ● Sound verbal and written communication skills ● The ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team ● WHS awareness is essential ● Computer literate - Basic knowledge and ability to use electronic devices and applications ● A strong willingness and ability to learn new and develop new skills. ● Be willing to get involved and hands on, helping the team with whatever is required (Training provided) ● Physically fit and able to be pass a pre employment medical ● Able to work Monday to Friday between 8am- 4pm

Experience:

● Experience with hand and power tools is essential ● Mechanical Trade assistant or a related industry is preferred but not essential ● Experience working with heavy mechanical parts or machinery is an advantage ● Experience as a yard hand managing floor stock machines/vehicles ● Drivers license required ● Forklift License required - LF class or above

Manitou Center in Lidcombe, Sydney. Hours of work :
Monday - Friday 8am-4pm Conditions:
