GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY:

This is an entry-level, career-track opportunity for a motivated individual to start a career in precision manufacturing. You will support Tooling Technicians in creating and maintaining specialized production tools, dies, and fixtures for world-class Manitou equipment. We are seeking a dedicated professional eager to grow into a skilled Machining or Tooling expert.Key Responsibilities

  • Tooling Support: Assist with the assembly, maintenance, and repair of production tooling.

  • Skill Development: Receive hands-on training in blueprint reading, technical schematics, and engineering drawing interpretation.

  • Machine Operation (Under Supervision): Learn to operate manual mills, lathes, grinders, and CNC machinery.

  • Shop Support: Perform basic welding and fabrication tasks.

  • Quality & Safety: Ensure tools meet quality standards, meet production deadlines, and maintain a safe, 5S-compliant work environment.

  • Problem-Solving: Help troubleshoot tooling issues to minimize production downtime.

 

Qualifications

  • Experience: No prior technical experience required; basic machining or welding training (vocational or shop) is preferred.

  • Personal Attributes: Proven track record of excellent attendance, a strong work ethic, high personal responsibility, and a strong mechanical aptitude.

  • Mindset: High “coachability” and a long-term interest in Tool and Die making or CNC machining.

  • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively and communicate clearly within a team.

  • Physical: Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
