GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY:

Test Engineering Intern will provide test support to Test Engineers and Design Engineers in the Engineering Department of Manitou Equipment America.  The ideal candidate is an engineering student interested in working some hours during the school year and full time during breaks and the summer.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform lab tests, document activities during tests, and support by analyzing data.

  • Support the TE group with data collection, procedures, and reports.

  • Support the TE group endurance testing.  Including the occasional operation of machines as needed.

  • Support the TE group with calibrations, torque and force transducer, and thermal couple usage as needed. 

  • Operate eDaq systems in the effort to collect data during tests assigned.

  • Utilize basic hand tools & overhead cranes to set up and execute specified tests.

 

EXPERIENCE:

  • Completed the freshman year of an accredited university (Engineering, Agricultural, Electrical, Software).

 

EXPERTISE:

  • Previous work history desired.

 

EDUCATION:

  • Hands on, mechanically inclined, energetic person.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

  • Must be detail oriented and possess excellent follow up skills.

  • Must be a self-starter with a desire to learn and contribute.

 

INTERNAL & EXTERNAL CONNECTIONS:

  • Test Engineers, Test Technicians, Drivers, & Design Engineers.

 

LOCALIZATION AND TRAVEL EXPECTED:

  • This position is located in West Bend, WI, USA and requires little to no travel.
