Objective : Reporting to the Service manager of the Manitou Spain subsidiary, the Local Technical Trainer is responsible for creating or adapting the technical training material and programs provided by the Manitou Group Training Centers, and then delivering these to the trainees in the appropriate format with additional follow up as required.
Main responsibilities:
● Using the official Manitou group training materials, adapt & deliver high quality technical training programs to our dealer network, our customers and our internal staff in order to significantly improve the technical knowledge of the learners.
● He/She must comply with the rules and procedures defined by MANITOU-GROUP.
● Be the primary source for Technical training in the area managed by the subsidiary, adapting, updating and improving the existing group technical training programs to the region market, and as well as proposing new training material for all products offered by Manitou.
● Create a training programme for the Manitou network based on the programmes provided by Manitou-group.
● Respects the standards of the Manitou technical training created in the training center and ensures quality training courses are provided and communicated to dealers learners.
● Assist in the development of the policy and procedures, as well as in the development of the annual planning of technical training for the subsidiary, which encourages external customers to attend training events on a regular basis.
● Using available company resources, stay up to date with all technical issues by product to ensure that all service training addresses these specific issues.
● Being a member of the Manitou Academy of Technical Trainers, fully supports the group service training requirements also in case of training courses lead out of Manitou perimeter.
● Implement and manage the administrative follow-up related to the various tools of the technical training (administrative management of the LMS tool : MANITOU Group University; coordination of machine availability and trainers; invoicing trainings; ensuring availability and control of resources and tools required for trainings; reporting of trainings for internal and external procedures). ● Define and communicate the performance indicators and any other reporting requirements.
● Participate in the development of annual training budgets.
● Control the quality of translations of training offers or/and programs for training and training contents.
● With the help of the “Global” trainer team, he translates the digital content so that it can be understood by learners in the region.
● Collaborate with the After Sales team in the Technical Support service, being active and regular party of the subsidiary technical support in certain proportions of working hours.
Key Skills: Has a strong technical background and must be comfortable with new technologies and teaching methods:
● Customer oriented/mindset.
● Engineering studies or high school in technical education required.
● At least 3 years of experience in applicable product support
● Working knowledge of Industry and Building machine systems, such as engines, hydraulics, electricity, electronics, multiplex networks (CAN BUS, LIN…), etc. ● Strong experience delivering and developing technical training programs.
● Experience of providing technical support and information as a trainer/instructor.
● Knowledge in the capital equipment market, specifically at machinery with hydraulic, electrical and power systems.
● A motivated self-starter, proactive and focused on personal and business improvement.
● Formal training qualification.
● Ability to multitask and maintain a high level of accuracy.
● Proficient oral and written communication.
● Familiarity with adult training techniques.
● Good level of Spanish and English. Portuguese is a plus.
