VISION AND KEY STAKES:
Support and challenge the regions and sites by providing the One Manitou Group Production System (MGPS), the Group’s industrial excellence backbone, to deliver short-term operational performance.
The role defines, evaluates, standardises, and animates the performance system across all Manitou plants, ensuring consistent implementation of lean principles, productivity initiatives, and cultural transformation toward World Class Manufacturing standards and Lean mindset.
Reporting to the EVP Global Operations, the Head of Performance & MGPS drives performance improvement programs globally, coordinates cross-site benchmarking, assess and supports sites in their continuous improvement journey.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Define and Develop the One Manitou Group Production System (MGPS)
- Design, document, and continuously improve the Manitou Group Production System framework.
- Define MGPS standards, tools, and deployment methodologies (Lean, Total Productive Maintenance, 5S, Kaizen, visual management, performance routines).
Ensure the system’s integration into all production units and functions, aligned with LIFT strategic pillars and operational targets.
- Drive Industrial Performance and Continuous Improvement
- Lead the Group Lean & Performance roadmap to improve productivity, quality, and safety performance.
- Support plants and transversal functions in identifying efficiency opportunities and defining measurable action plans.
- Deploy standard KPI dashboards to monitor SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost) performance and maturity.
- Benchmark internal and external best practices to accelerate the Group’s industrial excellence journey.
- Capability Building and Training
- Build internal Lean & MGPS expertise through structured training programs.
- Coach and empower site representatives to deploy standards locally with consistency and autonomy.
- Contribute to leadership and technical academies in collaboration with HR and QHSEE teams.
- Performance Animation and Governance
- Lead Group performance reviews, coordinating monthly and quarterly routines with plants and functions. Provide a local and global assessment of our Maturity level.
- Facilitate cross-site workshops to share best practices and lessons learned.
- Ensure alignment of performance targets with the Industrial Europe P&L and the Group’s operational priorities.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of performance governance and reporting processes.
- Collaboration and Transversality
- Work closely with Plant Managers, Footprint & Expertise, QHSEE, and Global Offers to ensure consistency between performance, quality, and industrialisation processes.
- Support the execution of material and labor productivity programs in collaboration with Global Sourcing and Global Offers.
- Interface with Digital & Industrial Expertise teams to integrate new technologies, data, and AI into performance management.
EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES :
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or equivalent.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in industrial performance, lean management, or continuous improvement within a multi-site manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience leading transformation projects
- Track record in building lean capabilities across functions and sites.
- International and matrix organisation experience strongly preferred.

LOCALISATION AND TRAVEL EXPECTED:
- This position is located in Ancenis (France) or another any major Manitou industrial site.
- Travel up to 30% in other plants and regions
