GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY:

Reporting to the Logistics Supervisor or Production Supervisor, this position will be responsible for unloading product deliveries, maintaining stock in the warehouse, moving stock and other materials to fulfill orders, recording location of inventory, and maintaining accurate inventory of product.

 

Shifts Available:  1st Shift – Monday-Friday 5a-3:30p 

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain a safe work environment
    • Adheres to all safety policies and procedures; perform tasks in a safe manner.
    • In the event of an accident or injury, immediately notify the Shift Lead or Supervisor on duty.
    • Operate, maintain, and use personal protective equipment and other safety supplies and equipment.
    • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with company policies relating to safety, housekeeping and Hazardous Waste Management programs.
  • Work without close supervision
  • Contact the Maintenance Department to get equipment repaired when necessary.
  • Ability and willingness to take on additional assignments as requested by management.
  • Work with coworkers in a polite and courteous manner, providing cross training as needed.
  • Able to work overtime as required.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs. safely and independently or as a team.
  • Must be able to stand on concrete for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to stand, climb, crawl, bend and utilize multiple tools including but not limited to forklifts, pallet jacks etc.
  • Have great attention to detail.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications and Expectations for advancement purpose

Level I

  • Must meet and exceed the above duties and responsibilities
  • Receive materials from freight carriers by verifying receipt of proper number of crates, boxes, cartons, etc.
  • Inspect freight for shortages/damages, check shipments against packing slip, & data entry of daily receipts.
  • Interact with drivers on arrival for delivery or pickup of goods or machines.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records.

Level II

  • All duties of Level I in addition to:
  • Check results for conformance to print and / or specifications and make necessary corrections.
  • Gather, verify, inspect, package, and ship parts per requirements. Use shipping software to schedule shipments as needed.
  • Pick, transact, and deliver inventory items per production requirements. Maintain proper inventory counts and locations.
  • Interact with supervisors, team leads, and other manufacturing personnel to ensure parts movement is accurate as requested/needed.
  • Monitor inventory levels and suggest new orders when needed.
  • Support all areas of Shipping/Receiving, Warehouse and Production facilities.

 

EXPERIENCE:

  • 1-2 years experience operating forklift (preferred) and other lift equipment

 

EXPERTISE:

  • Must be a self-starter, team player, and have the ability to multi-task
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Suite is preferred, Infor M3 ERP system

 

EDUCATION:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Previous forklift certification preferred, hazmat certification a plus

 

INTERNAL & EXTERNAL CONNECTIONS:

  • Interact with supervisors, team leads, and other manufacturing personnel in a professional manner

 

PAY RANGE:

  • Base Pay Range between $21 – $22.50 per hour (plus 15% shift differential if on 2nd shift), plus a potential annual bonus based on performance metrics

                     *Actual pay determined by experience level, skills, qualifications & work location 

 

LOCALIZATION AND TRAVEL EXPECTED:

  • This position is located in Madison, SD
  • No travel required
