GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY:

This position will lead the assigned line operation. Responsibility will include working with the Supervisor to direct the team to drive improvement in Safety, Quality, and Productivity as well as employee development. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in leading operators with the above listed goals. This position will report to the department Supervisor. 

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the team in running the developed scheduling systems for department operations. 

  • Develop staff and train requirements for the efficient operation of the department. 

  • Responsible for the safe operation of the department. 

  • Responsible for the delivery of components meeting the customers needs in delivery schedule, quantity, and quality. 

  • Assist employees with trouble shooting etc. Additionally, escalate to Supervisor when further assistance is needed.

  • Train and educate employees along with motivating and coaching. 

  • Oversee and organize the workload of the department. 

  • Complete all required documentation within established guidelines and appropriate timeframes. 

  • Collaborate with other departments. 

  • Ability to prioritize workload as new work comes into the department. 

  • Maintain compliance with OSHA safety rules and regulations. 

  • Work with the leadership team to create/implement processes and procedures. 

  • Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with team leads. 

  • Strong customer first attitude with the ability to retain employees. 

  • Delegate projects as needed 

  • Other related duties as assigned. 

 

EXPERIENCE:

  • Proven experience has a high-performing operator.

  • Previous leadership experience preferred. 

 

EXPERTISE:

  • Excellent communication skills – written, listening and verbal. 

  • Ability to work well with other areas to accomplish necessary goals within the company. 

  • Excellent customer service skills. 

  • Team building knowledge 

  • Able to use tools and equipment in a safe and responsible manner. 

  • Strong coaching and mentoring skills. 

  • Handles change well, and are able to implement new processes/procedures to the next level. 

  • High attention to detail. 

  • Ability to remain calm in high pressure situations. 

  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills 

  • Understand and support company policies and procedures 

  • Highly organized, detail oriented with good problem solving skills. 

 

EDUCATION:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required

 

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Required to stand on concrete floor up to 10 hours per day.

  • Requires working in an office environment, will be seated in a posture position. 

  • Will utilize a computer terminal for periods of time, and phone use using a handset or headset. 

  • Required to visit other departments on a needed basis to resolve issues. 

  • Required to work flexible hours as required for production operations.
