VISION AND KEY STAKES:
LAPAM (Latin America, Asia Pacific & Middle East – Africa) region within Manitou Group aims at improving working conditions, safety and performance across the whole region, while protecting people and their environment.
The focus of the role is leading and transforming the Sales & Service Point (SSP) operations in India to achieve the strategic goals, drive profitability, and ensure operational excellence. SSPs are company owned direct operations which shall act as a dealership and manage the direct interactions for sales & service towards end customers. This role involves overseeing all aspects of the business, including Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Customer Service and has the full P&L responsibility for the SSPs.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Strategic Leadership:

Develop and implement the company’s strategic plan and vision, aligning with distribution objectives within India & the overall Group objectives. Generate market opportunities related to Machine Sales, Parts, Rentals, and Customer Service.

Analyze market trends and customer needs to identify growth opportunities.

Drive growth beyond the company brand by acting as an entrepreneur and integrate new revenue streams

- Sales and Business Development:
-
Oversee the development and execution of revitalized sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue and profit targets.

Drive business growth through strategic client acquisition, market expansion, and product innovation.

Lead relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders to enhance business networks.

- Operational Management:
-
Ensure efficient and effective operations across all departments, including Sales, Logistics, and Customer Service.

Optimize processes and workflows to enhance productivity and reduce costs.

Monitor and manage the SSP’s supply chain and inventory to ensure timely delivery and quality standards.

- Financial Oversight:

Develop and manage the SSP’s budget, financial forecasts, and performance metrics.

Analyze financial statements and key performance indicators to track progress and make informed decisions.

- Team Leadership and Development:

Lead, mentor, and motivate SSP employees to achieve high performance.

Foster a positive TeamTeam culture.

Recruit, train, and retain top talent to support the SSP’s strategic goals.

- Customer Relationship Management:
-
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through exceptional service and support.
-
Address and resolve customer issues or concerns promptly and effectively.

Implement feedback mechanisms to continually improve the SSP’s offerings and customer trust.

- Compliance and Risk Management:
-
Ensure adherence to all relevant laws, regulations, and standards.

Identify and mitigate risks associated with organizational changes, financial instability, and integration challenges.

Oversee health, safety, and environmental compliance to maintain operational integrity.

- Reporting and Communication:
-
Provide regular updates and reports to the Regional VP Manitou Centers, LAPAM on business performance, and strategic initiatives.

Work hand in hand with the Managing Director for distribution in India to align and market growth initiatives and growth strategy.

Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure transparency and buy-in.

Represent the SSPs at events, conferences, and public forums.

EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES :
- 10+ years of experience with at least 2-3 years managing a service business or dealership

Operational Experience in the construction or agricultural equipment market with very good knowledge about competitors and major clients

Ability to organize and prioritize team activities
- Capacity to drive change and continuous improvement, effectively relaying key messages from management.

Fluent English, any other language is an advantage

Technical business understanding
Outstanding consultative selling abilities and excellent interpersonal skills with executive level customers and partners.
Excellent interpersonal skills and team working to collaborate with colleagues and staff creating a result driven, team oriented environment
Ability to plan and manage both strategic and operational scopes
Good understanding of commercial law, incoterms, statutory and company commercial rules, regulations & law
LOCALISATION AND TRAVEL EXPECTED:
- This position is located in India
- Travel up to 50% to SSP locations in India
