Option #1 - 12:30pm-10:00pm Mon-Thur / 12:30pm-4:30PM Friday OR

Option #2 – 3:30pm - 2:00pm Mon-Thur

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY

Will be responsible for maintaining process equipment throughout the plant, along with general maintenance related tasks. In addition, this position will be required to work together in a team or independently, work with management, work closely with production operators to identify the problem, and other responsibilities as defined by the Maintenance Supervisor.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform and maintain equipment by following the Preventive Maintenance program
  • Perform maintenance on all unscheduled work in a safe and timely manner to reduce operational downtime
  • Perform scheduled maintenance by working closely with management and operators to support operational needs
  • Follow all policies and procedures as defined by the Employee Handbook
  • Follow and understand the importance of PM’s

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Must have High School Diploma/GED
  • Must have completed an industrial maintenance trade school program (preferred), or a minimum of 4 years of equivalent experience
  • Must have a good attitude and willingness to work
  • Must be able to read and understand engineering drawings
  • Must have some knowledge in all areas of maintenance (hydraulics, electrical, mechanical)
  • Must be able to work independently with some assistance as needed
  • Must have knowledge/experience troubleshooting equipment

 

The employee will be required to follow all Environmental, Health, and Safety procedures as defined by Manitou. This would include, but not limited to following:

  • Arc Flash procedures
  • Plant PPE
  • Confined Space
  • Hot Work Permits
  • Lock-Out/Tag-Out procedures

 

QUALIFICATIONS 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The qualifications, physical demand and work environment characteristics listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to successfully perform the job.  Must have a valid driver’s license.

 

KNOWLEDGES

  • Proficiency with the Microsoft© Office Suite software applications.  A working knowledge of IFS is desired. 
  • Excellent verbal skills.  Ability to read, interpret, understand and explain documents such as, product prints/specifications and/or warranty manuals.  Ability to effectively present information to others, gather information from others, and respond appropriately to questions from customers, coworkers and managers.  Must be able to present appropriate attitude for the situation when interacting with customers or coworkers.
  • Must be a team player, be pro-active, self-disciplined, self-motivated, and have a demonstrated ability to follow projects through to completion.  Ability to work calmly and logically while under stress.  Attention to detail is required.  Must be able to demonstrate organizational skills, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Work environment with this job primarily includes the typical manufacturing/office environment.  The noise level of this job is typically moderate. 

 

PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT

  • Work in a shop environment where metal fabrication, welding, painting and assembly of machined parts is conducted. 
  • Exposure to high heat, high noise and vibration.
  • Must be able to lift heavy loads up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to work at elevations above 3ft from ground level.
  • Must be able to work on their feet 8 to 11 hours a day.
  • Must wear protective equipment such as steel toe shoes and safety glasses.
