Ingénieur Achat/Supply Chain (H/F) - VIE USA


Responsible to create, develop and implement comprehensive global strategic and tactical Supply Chain/Sourcing/Supplier Quality policy, procedures and work instructions based upon best business practices for Manitou Group CEP. As a member of the corporate sourcing and supply chain team, build value-added relationships and work closely with commodity managers, materials managers, tactical buyers, logistics team, and supplier quality engineers, to leverage and create synergy opportunities within the Manitou Group, focusing on common global commodities and supplies.



  • Collaborate with strategic sourcing, plant materials manager, buyers and supplier quality engineers to standardize best business practices and processes.
  • Compose, design, maintain word documents, spread sheets, org charts, etc., as required for Director of Strategic Sourcing, Supplier Quality, and Commodity Managers
  • Identification, qualification, and selection of new suppliers; preparation and execution of RFQ and competitive bidding events; creation and evaluation of complex business cases; leading Contract/LTA negotiations and compliance; all while ensuring cost, quality, capacity, delivery, and capability requirements are met and sustained.
  • Collaborate with sourcing, supplier quality, and engineering on new product development activities to support projects, align design with our strategic supply base, and deliver products on time and at or below cost targets.
  • Evaluate current spend and supplier data and identify improvement opportunities and new idea projects.
  • Support of manufacturing site requirements, leveraging spend across locations to identify and implement sourcing and process improvements to strengthen and accelerate supple chain initiatives.
  • Project Manager activities, leading projects to meet objectives and drive operational results.
  • Support Commodity Managers to identify new global supply sources, as well as, rationalizing and consolidating the existing supply base and commodity list.
  • Work with the Supplier Quality team to develop, measure, and manage key supplier performance metrics and helping to implement a new Supplier Scorecard and reporting process.
  • Identify, initiate, and support Corporate Social Responsibility activities related to Supplier’s compliance.
  • Special projects as assigned



Education/Work experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Operations Management.
  • Should be familiar with sourcing, supply chain, and program management activities.
  • Change management experience gained in a lean manufacturing or six sigma environment is preferred.
  • Practical knowledge of how supply chains work and ability to assess best business processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively; with strong networking, influencing, and communication skills; and to drive effective project execution.
  • Team player who can successfully interact with internal and external organizations and effectively communicate verbally and in writing in a timely manner to ensure positive results
  • Must have demonstrated computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Business Suite i.e.: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Access required and be able to do online research.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as, interpersonal skills (ability to work effectively with multiple departments, as well as, suppliers)
  • Must have the ability to prioritize work from multiple sources and demonstrate good organizational skills.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in commodity management or strategic sourcing role. Multi-site, center-led sourcing experience preferred.
  • IFS experience or working knowledge of other ERP systems.



  • This position is located in West Bend, WI.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
