Product Equipment Distribution Manager

General Accountability:

With a report to Director of Advanced Manufacturing Technology, the Product Equipment Distribution Manager is responsible for:

  • Managing the North America Product Distribution Centers
  • Optimizing the activity of Distribution Center (inventory, product definition, location)
  • Identifying and developing procedural changes for the Other Manufactured Product activity



Product Distribution Centers:

  • Receive MHA and CEP machines, maintain a buffer stock of products available for customers in USA and Canada, and prepare them for shipping, assembling “light options” and checking functional and visual quality of the machines before delivery.
  • Organize the training of Operator for incoming inspections/ new options/ Attachments
  • Support OMP evolution in relation with Product Manager/ R&D/ Factory and Manufacturing support department.
  • Pro-actively work on product definition to optimize PDC activity
  • Ensure quality of the product before delivery to the dealers
  • Manage cost optimization: options assembly (make PDC /buy MHA plants, standard times optimization, …), inventory management
  • Address/resolve procurement issues
  • Directly execute defined priorities for customer satisfaction
  • Manage on-time delivery (in & out) performance
  • Coordinate supplier performance management (attachments)
  • Coordinate retrofit campaigns between American After Sales teams and French/Italian teams


Continuous Improvement:

  • Evaluate current practices, looking for ways to improve productivity, reduce costs, and make the best use of the business’s resources and IT tools (ERP, Power BI, etc.) on the importation and distribution of equipment of Manitou Group within the North America
  • Implement Key Performance Indicators and process control to monitor and improve the OMP activity
  • Maintain efficiency and quality in the work setting and processes consistency and participate in various improvement projects and Kaizen activities.



  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Operations Management or Manufacturing Engineering related field or equivalent work experience is required



  • Experience preferred in technical, machinery environment, or in a similar industry
  • Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain & Quality skills
  • Business process management and improvement experience



  • Knowledge/expertise of Manitou/ Gehl or similar machines
  • French speaking skills would be a plus
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Lean/Kaizen skills preferred
  • Ability to drive effective project execution.
  • Ability to review, process flows, and other information to understand methods that are applied and activities that take place in manufacturing and distribution.
  • Effectively prioritize multiple tasks to maximize efficiency and productivity.
  • Process and continuous improvement orientation (Kaizen mindset).
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and facilitation skills to lead and influence a team.
  • Ability to work in a complex network in a matrix organization.
  • Must be prepared to explain and defend any proposed changes to the current system.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint as well as ERP skills required (IFS would be preferred).

  • This position is located in West Bend - WI (Wisconsin)
  • 25% travel
