North America Product Marketing Manager, Industrial Products


The Product Marketing Manager’s job includes providing business support for planning marketing programs, competitor analysis/benchmarking, voice-of-customer (VOC) and sales support for the Manitou Industrial & other similar product lines. The Product Marketing Manager interacts with operational marketing, sales team, product development, customer service, design engineering, aftermarket support and training team to ensure that the marketing collateral accurately reflects benefits and features from every user perspective and persona. They must ensure that the products are developed to match the market demand and are in line with the initial specifications.



Through its knowledge of markets, customers and competition, in collaboration with sales teams, the Product Marketing Manager offers:

  1. Coordinate launch plans of Industrial Forklifts and other similar product lines in North America including machine part numbers and price lists, marketing materials, parts manuals, parts lists, service training, and parts inventory.
  2. Participate in market and customer VOC activity to identify needs and potential product opportunities, propose improvements and upgrades, and champion product success for Industrial Forklift Trucks and other like product lines in North America.  Provide input on findings to product teams and North America commercial management.
  3. Work closely with product teams to support the Manitou North America product and training specialists to ensure we highlight product feature/benefit advantages of the Manitou product and competitive comparisons with value differentiation.    
  4. Collaborating cross functionally on competitor pricing, market development, selling and field solutions.
  5. Identifies and validates new markets & product opportunities and communicates with sales and Global Product Managers.
  6. Identifying opportunities for lead generation and creating marketing collateral like case studies, data sheets, whitepapers, FAQ, feature or benefit sheets.
  7. Developing standardized sales presentations, proposals, scripts, etc.
  8. Work with Manitou Group and Manitou North America operational marketing to implement product launches for offline and online channels.
  9. Participation in tradeshows, company sponsored promotions and events.
  10. Completing competitive analysis and providing insights to sales and Global Product Management.
  11. Working with marketing communications and journalists to ensure coverage of PR in online and print.
  12. Supporting sales partners with sales collateral, best practices, and training.
  13. Defines and conducts market research, extensive VOC and surveys necessary for the description of its market, including its operating mechanisms.
  14. Maintains direct contact with customers, dealers or users.
  15. Organize, develop and host sales training seminars.



  • Exceptional knowledge of sales, marketing, VOC, in-depth market research/analysis and the product development processes.
  • Strong leadership, sales support, project management and training skills.
  • Should be able to develop effective relationships and operate with senior level management.
  • Should be an expert in forward thinking, market research, and should possess problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to listen to intended details attentively.
  • Excellent analytical and presentation skills including demonstration skills to handle many assignments simultaneously.
  • Efficiently work under pressure, deadlines, and stretch extra hours to complete assigned task.
  • Should have excellent communication skills.
  • Proven knowledge in market and customer research.

  • Bachelor Marketing Degree  +4 or equivalent
  • Significant experience in Marketing and Product Management.
  • Field experience (VOC) and strong customer orientation, international experience would be preferred.
  • Strong commercial sensitivity and sense of result.
  • Good knowledge of its Market (Construction and Industry), customers and how they use their equipment.
  • Knowledge of the market network preferred.
  • Fluent in French language a plus.



  • Position located in West Bend.
  • 25% travel.
