MEWP and Forklift Product Marketing Manager

SALES & MARKETING

 

General Accountability:

The Product Marketing Manager’s job includes providing business support for planning marketing programs, competitor analysis/benchmarking, and sales support for the Manitou MEWP and Forklift product lines. The Product Marketing Manager interacts with operational marketing, sales team, product development, customer service, to ensure that the marketing collateral accurately reflects benefits and features from every user perspective and persona. They must ensure that the products launched are matching the market demand and are in alignment with regional goals.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Through knowledge of markets, customers and competition, in collaboration with sales teams, the Product Marketing Manager offers:

  • Coordinating launch plans of Industrial and Rough Forklift Trucks and Man Elevating Work Platforms in North America including machine part numbers and price lists, marketing materials, parts manuals, parts lists, service training, and parts inventory. 

  • Participating in market and customer VOC activity to identify needs and potential product opportunities, propose improvements and upgrades, and champion product success for Industrial Forklift Trucks and Man Elevating Work Platforms in North America.  Provide input on findings to product teams and North America commercial management.

  • Working closely with product teams to support the Manitou North America product and training specialists to ensure we highlight product feature/benefit advantages of the Manitou product and competitive comparisons with value differentiation.     

  • Collaborating cross functionally on competitor pricing, market development, selling, analysis and field solutions.

  • Identifying, analizes and validates new markets & product opportunities and communicates with sales and Product Managers.

  • Identifying opportunities for lead generation and creating marketing collateral like case studies, data sheets, whitepapers, FAQ, feature or benefit sheets.

  • Developing standardized sales presentations, proposals, scripts, etc.

  • Working with Manitou Group and Manitou North America operational marketing to implement product launches for offline and online channels.

  • Participating in tradeshows, company sponsored promotions and events.

  • Completing competitive analysis and providing insights to Sales and Global Product Line Managers.

  • Working with marketing communications and journalists to ensure coverage of PR in online and print.

  • Supporting sales partners with sales collateral, best practices, and training.

  • Defining and conducting market research and surveys necessary for the description of its market, including its operating mechanisms.

  • Maintaining direct contact with customers, dealers or users.

  • Organizing, developing materials and supporting sales and product familiarization training events.

 

SKILLS AND SPECIFICATIONS:

  • Exceptional knowledge of sales, marketing and development processes.

  • Strong leadership, sales support, project management and training skills.

  • Should be able to develop effective relationships and operate with senior level management.

  • Should be an expert in forward thinking, market research, and should possess problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to listen to intended details attentively.

  • Excellent analytical and presentation skills including demonstration skills to handle many assignments simultaneously.

  • Efficiently work under pressure, deadlines, and stretch extra hours to complete tasks.

  • Must have excellent communication skills and show abilities to convey teams of range vision success 

  • Proven knowledge in market and customer research.

 

All these activities are carried out by knowing and respecting the quality standards applicable to the industry. The employee must know the objectives and priorities of the Manitou Group and implement it at its level to contribute.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing  or at least 4 years of equivalent work experience

  • Significant experience in Rental sector with MEWP and/or Forklift products or similar finished products.

  • Significant experience in Marketing Product Management

  • Field experience and strong customer orientation, international experience would be preferred. 

  • Strong commercial sensitivity and sense of result.

  • Good knowledge of its Market (Construction and Industry), customers and how they use their equipment.

  • Knowledge of the market network preferred.

  • Fluent in French language is a plus.

 

LOCALIZATION AND TRAVEL EXPECTED:

  • This opportunity is located in our new and nice corporate office, walking distance from the charming historic downtown West Bend, WI, located just minutes from Milwaukee by the highway in the picturesque hills of the Kettle Moraine.
