Marketing Manager

With a direct report to the Managing Director of Manitou UK, this position is responsible for all marketing activities of Manitou UK. He/she drives all Marketing related activities at MUK Ltd. This includes all Shows /Exhibitions, Corporate events, Press and PR, Communication, Advertising, Literature, Website and Aftersales Marketing across the UK & Rep of Ireland region for all Manitou/Gehl/Mustang products

His/Her primary focus is to liaise and work closely with:

- The Group’s Marketing Department to facilitate synergies and good working relationship.

- The MUK Dealer Network to promote and manage marketing initiatives.

- All departmental managers to formulate key Marketing strategies.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Managing the marketing department and its staff to meet identified key target goals and objectives.
  2. Preparing annual budget for specific marketing activities and monthly review of expenditure in line with budget expectations.
  3. Creating the marketing plan for each market sector and implement a quarterly review process.
  4. Liaison with trade press publications for editorial, display advertising and website coverage.
  5. Visit Dealer network to establish marketing plan for local advertising and press coverage and Manitou corporate branding.
  6. Manage MUK Dealer Convention and show calendar to budget liaising with senior management to ensure event success.
  7. Plan and implement customer events to factory and international shows.
  8. Create and publish Manitou Staff Newsletter with 4 editions per year.
  9. Manage new Manitou literature, advertising and mail shots for new products. Create necessary Art work, adapt MBF specific media requirements. Manage all aspects of the Manitou Brand to the customer.
  10. Monthly update to the UK Sales Team with all current proposed and planned marketing projects.
  11. Build a strong and supportive team environment.
  12. Complete the required industry body surveys, collect and collate data, and provide market statistics and dealer market shares to the Sales department.

 

EDUCATION:

  • University graduate with a major in Marketing/Business

 

EXPERIENCE:

  • At least 10 years of Marketing experience with a proven track record
  • Experience in the Capital Equipment market
  • Experience working with a multi-national company
  • Background in the Construction, Agricultural or Industrial equipment sectors 

 

COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with executive level customers and partners.
  • Outstanding leadership and management skills; experienced in managing a small team
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a result driven, team oriented environment.
  • Technical business understanding.
  • Fluent in English, French a plus.

 

INTERNAL/EXTERNAL CONNECTIONS:

  • Works in partnership with all departments of MUK & Marketing department in the Headquarters ensuring close alignment upon implementation of Group's strategy across Manitou's market growth within the region
  • This position is based in Verwood (near Southampton)
  • Office based role; ideal candidate is located within commuting distance of Verwood
